Control System
The HCS-5 boat control is the heart of the Humphree product with its advanced control system, developed over the years by marine experts together with demanding users.
HCS-5 offers a range of auto functions for different needs, presented as function
packages. The functions provide optimum comfort and performance regardless of
whether the captain is a professional or a less experienced operator.
Function Packages
Automatic Trim Control
Auto Trim Control is included as standard and makes sure that the boat trims perfectly at all speeds, thereby reducing fuel consumption and environmental impact. The operator can manually override the auto functions at any time if they choose.
Automatic List Control
Uneven loading, crosswinds and varying conditions will normally cause the boat to list. When running on a straight course, Automatic List Control will bring the boat to even keel.
Pitch & Roll Stabilization
Boats are constantly exposed to sea conditions which cause roll and pitch motions resulting in poor comfort on board. The Pitch Stabilization function instantly counteracts any pitch movement thanks the our ultra-fast servo motors, the large stroke interceptors.
The function Roll Stabilization is included in packages DYNAMIC and DYNAMIC PLUS.
Coordinated Turn Control
When turning the boat the heel angle can be uncomfortable and sometimes unsafe, the Coordinated Turn function automatically adjusts the heeling angle of the boat to reduce the side forces allowing higher turning speeds and better comfort and safety onboard.

Interceptor Trim Tabs
The interceptor’s primary function is to generate lift, which reduces a boat’s wave resistance and enhances overall performance. While traditional trim tabs can achieve similar effects, interceptors are more efficient. By decreasing wave resistance, interceptors increase speed and reduce fuel consumption. Additionally, the lift generated helps counteract undesirable listing caused by uneven loads or crosswinds. Effective boat dynamics depend on how quickly lift forces are generated on the hull. Interceptor blades can extend easily and quickly due to powerful servo motors, which is why we utilize ultra-fast servo actuators that move 50 mm (2 inches) in less than 0.7 seconds!”
X-Series
The X-Series is available in five standard sizes and is intended mainly for boats 25-60 feet. Not to mention, they deliver the same reliability and superior performance as all larger Humphree interceptor trim tabs. However, the X-Series features the same control system, ultra-fast servo actuators and control panel. For superior control of dynamic hull motions, in particular they all have an interceptor blade with a powerful 50mm (2”) stroke.

H-Series
H-Series characterizes a customizable interceptor and are available from 350 – 1500 mm in width. No matter how the hull of your boat has been designed altogether, there is always a solution for our interceptor trim tabs to fit the hull. And also be fit under your water jet, another perfect fit at the shine or make it follow the radius of the propeller tunnels,

HA-Series
This interceptor trim tabs line with an asymmetric placed servo unit, and can be used when it has to fit under a water jet or if preferred area of the transom is limited. It can also be used when the inner structure on the inside of the transom does not allow for a centre placed servo. Lastly, the HA-interceptor can be custom shaped for a perfect fit and further comes in sizes 500 – 1100mm.

HE-Series
The HE-Series interceptors are designed for heavy duty use. With their powerful 75mm stroke length they will add 50% more lift force than the standard 50mm interceptors trim tabs as a result. The HE-interceptor comes in sizes 750 – 1500mm and in addition, can be custom shaped for a perfect fit.

HL-Series
Our HL-Series are designed and built for the large and heavy planing vessels. And are therefore equipped with a mechanical high performing structure the HLS-interceptors blade. It has a powerful stroke length of 110mm. The HLS interceptor is available from 800mm to 1500mm width.

Choosing the Right Humphree Interceptor System
Humphree recommends selecting the “Recommended” size for the Interceptor system, but if space is limited, smaller options will suffice, especially if the boat naturally maintains a “Low” trim mode.
The Humphree Large Series (HLS) is tailored for larger, heavy vessels, designed for continuous operation and service without the need for docking. Each Interceptor size must be specifically calculated for the individual vessel.

Fin Guide – Twin installation
- Humphree fins comes in five different sizes to fit your vessel:
- 0.60m2 0.80m2 1.00m2 1.30m2 1.50m2
- A slightly bigger fin will improve the zero speed stabilisation, which is recommended if the vessel has a top speed below 35 knots.
- The 0.60-0.80m2 fins are designed to suit our fast SU-553 electric servo unit. The SU-563 servo is developed for the larger 1.00m2, 1.30m2 and 1.50m2 fins.

Fin Guide – Quad installation
- The Humphree fin system can be configured with 4 fins operating as an integrated system for bigger vessels.
